Brian Ambundo, born on May 14th, 1994, is an enterprising and dynamic software engineer and electrical electronics engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. Brian’s roots in the tech world trace back to his affinity for creativity and critical thinking. With a natural knack for technology, he embarked on a quest to blend engineering and software development into a harmonious symphony.

Brian completed his undergraduate studies in July 2021 from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. At Kenyatta University, Brian was introduced to the world of computing, delving into engineering mathematics, research methods, and the fundamentals of critical and creative thinking. This experience was foundational in shaping his understanding of the multifaceted nature of technology and its applications.

In November 2022, Brian took his passion for technology further by obtaining a certificate in Software Engineering from Moringa School, where he acquired specialized skills in Object-Oriented Programming, SQL, Active Record, and Client-Server Communication among others.

Brian is proficient in various programming languages and tools, including JavaScript, React, Linux, HTML, CSS, Rails, Ruby on Rails, and Python. Moreover, his expertise extends to data analysis, with proficiency in SQL and Pandas. He also excels in research design, data collection methods, program monitoring and evaluation, proposal development, and project management.

Additionally, Brian is proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and boasts advanced Excel skills. His array of skills is a testament to his versatility and adaptability in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Brian’s interest and love for website development is palpable. He cherishes designing websites using WordPress and enjoys the process of coding websites through the React framework. Another area that intrigues him is web scraping, where he employs technologies like Scrapy for automation and data collection.

In recent times, Brian’s fascination with Artificial Intelligence has piqued, and he is actively immersing himself in the field by taking a course on Coursera to learn more about AI.

In April 2023, Brian embarked on a dual professional journey. He took up a role as an Electrical Engineering Intern at the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority in Nairobi, where he ensures proper electrical installation standards are met. Alongside this, he also began to freelance on Upwork, specializing in web scraping, web automation, and WordPress development.

One of Brian’s noteworthy achievements is his ‘Vertical Aeroponics System’ project, which he built between September 2020 and March 2021. The system integrates a timed spraying mechanism utilizing an Arduino microcontroller and various sensors to monitor the plants and the surrounding environment. He also worked on an 'Online Charity Management System' in collaboration with Nelson Chibukasia and Brian Munene, aimed at streamlining the collection of funds for the less fortunate.

With a GitHub and LinkedIn presence under the moniker “Katiechi”, Brian Ambundo is poised to make significant strides in both the software and engineering sectors. His unwavering commitment, ingenuity, and broad skill set are integral assets that will undoubtedly propel him to the forefront of technology and innovation.
